| Breyer Horse "Seabiscuit" |
| Manufacturer: Breyer Horse |
Out of the financial miseries of the 1930s rose an improbable hero--Seabiscuit--an undersized, mud-colored horse with crooked legs. From 1936 to 1940, this relative underdog established himself as one of history's most extraordinary athletes, routinely smashing attendance records anytime he made an appearance. Seabiscuit's most famous match by far was the 1938 Pimlico Special against his eastern rival and Triple Crown winner, War Admiral, in a contest still regarded as one of the greatest horse races ever run. This handpainted Breyer model is made from durable, engineering-grade cellulose acetate.Measures 12" x 3" x 9".Made in USA. Home Accents & Furnishings,Collectibles,Figurines,Animals |
